Turning the heat on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said that there is now enough evidence to get the Prime Minister behind the bars in the Rafale Deal controversy. The Congress chief has once again brought the Rafale Deal into discussion as the deliberations are going on in Supreme Court to decide if the Rafale Deal case should be reopened.
'What would we have to fight F-16 if we don't have Rafale?" the government asked the top court in the ongoing deliberations.
Rafale Deal has been an issue which has been taken up by Congress where the Congress Chief RaGa has been alleging the Modi govt of corruption and crony capitalism buying 36 fighter aircrafts for a much costlier price than that of the ones being bought in the Congress regime. He also accuses Modi of favoritism giving the deal to a rather inexperienced company which got registered just 10 days before the deal was given to it. Rahul Gandhi has been calling Modi 'friend of Anil Ambani'.
As the government has finally come up with some credible evidence on the damage caused by the IAF Airstrike, the allegations and accusations on the govt have reduced but with the elections not too far, the opposition is leaving no stone unturned to take down the Modi govt.
