The weather is changing rapidly across the country. Fog has started increasing in Delhi-NCR in the morning and evening, while dense fog is still present in many states.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that a new western disturbance will be active from February 3, due to which there is a possibility of rain and dense fog in 20 states across the country.
According to IMD, there may be snowfall along with rain in some areas of Jammu Kashmir, and Ladakh. At the same time, the temperature in the northwestern states is expected to increase by 2 to 3 degrees by February 7, due to which mild heat will be felt during the day, but it will remain cool in the morning and evening.

In which states will it rain?
According to IMD, a cyclonic circulation is persisting over northern Pakistan, extending from 3.1 to 7.6 kilometers above sea level. Similarly, a cyclonic circulation is also active over East Rajasthan.
A new western disturbance will affect northwest India from February 3. Due to its effect, light to moderate rain and snowfall may occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
- There is a possibility of scattered to light rain in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab between February 3 and 5.
- There may be rain in Haryana and Chandigarh on 3 and 4 February.
- Rain is expected in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh between February 3 and 5.
- There is a possibility of thunder, lightning, and light to moderate rain in Lakshadweep.

Due to the effect of western disturbance, dense fog will be seen in the morning and evening in many states. IMD has issued fog alerts for these states –
Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim will also feel cool in the morning and evening due to light fog in Delhi-NCR, while The weather will be a little warm due to sunshine during the day.
How will the weather be in Delhi?
Yesterday, the maximum temperature recorded in Delhi was 26.2°C and the minimum temperature was 10.2°C. According to IMD, till February 7, coolness will be felt in the morning and evening and mild heat during the day.
There may be light rain in Delhi-NCR on 3 and 4 February.
- These days the maximum temperature will remain between 24 to 27°C and the minimum temperature will remain between 10 to 12°C.
