Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, the chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust, has tested positive for Covid-19 a week after he attended the Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan in Ayodhya alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Mahant is in Mathura where he had gone for the Janamashtami celebrations. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has enquired about the health status of the Mahant and has directed the district officials to take proper care of the seer.
Reportedly, CM Yogi has also spoken to Dr. Trehan and the Mahant is likely to be shifted to Medanta hospital later in the day.
On August 5, Nritya Gopal Das attended the Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan in Ayodhya and shared the stage with PM Modi, Yogi Adityanath, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and a few others.
The landmark event of Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan on August 5 was attended by 175 guests the trust headed by Nritya Gopal Das had invited.
Apart from heavy security arrangements, coronavirus protocols, and social distancing norms were followed at the scintillating event of Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the Bhoomi Pujan rituals at the Ram Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya after he flew down from Delhi to attend the event. CM Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel, and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat also took part in the rituals.
Mahant Nritya Gopal Das was present on the dais during PM Modi's speech after the Bhoomi Pujan and also during the unveiling of a postage stamp.
It will be evident to see, who other prominent personalities have gotten infected from Mahant Nritya Gopal Das if he was asymptomatic then.
