The Big Bull actor Ram Kapoor’s father Anil Kapoor died on 12 April at the age of 74. Anil Kapoor was India’s finest businessman and was battling cancer. Paying tribute to his father the Bade Acche lagte hain actor Ram Kapoor took to his Instagram account and wrote, “Truly speechless at the tribute that Amul has made for my father. You were a true legend dad. I miss you so much. Rest in peace”. The picture he shared was curated by Amul India as a tribute to Anil Kapoor. Amul India regarded Ram Kapoor’s father as ‘doyens of the Indian advertising industry'.
Anil’s association with Amul was started in 1998. As per The Hindu’s report Verghese Kurian asked him to re-energize Amul which was facing a tough fight with Nestle’s every day. It was after this that Amul’s iconic line was released to the world; Amul: the taste of India. Anil Kapoor and Amul were in business collaborations for 30 years. It was because of this old and deep connection that Amul shared a poster in regard to Anil Kapoor with a caption, “#Amul topical: a tribute to one of the doyens of the Indian Advertising industry..”.
Ram Kapoor’s wife Gautami also paid respects to his father-in-law through an Instagram post with a caption, “ Dad…you live in our hearts forever…RIP…to the strongest, toughest man I ever knew.. love you”.
