In a shocking development and highlighting the corruption of a police official, SHO of Police Station Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, Rajesh Arora has been apprehended in regards to taking part in bribery. He has reportedly been caught accepting INR 2.5 Lakhs as a bribe.
Jalandhar Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma has launched an investigation into the matter and Rajesh Arora has been put under arrest. Currently no police officer has come forward to provide testimony regarding the incident, but a formal investigation is underway.
Two other police officers have also been reprimanded, who are identified as Sandeep Kumar and Anwar Kumar.
