In a shocking development, panic erupted after four people were left injured in a big explosion at the Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru's Brookfield area. The injured included three staff and one customer. Multiple videos of Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe emerged on social media in which people were seen in panic standing outside the eatery. What happened at Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe?
Multiple reports suggest that an object placed in a bag exploded, but police sources said it is yet to be verified. The blast occurred around 1 pm. The injured people are not critical and have been taken to a nearby hospital.
A news wire quoted the Fire station, Whitefield saying, "We received a call that a cylinder blast occurred in the Rameshawaram cafe. We reached the spot and we are analysing the situation."
BJP National President Tejasvi Surya took to his X handle and alleged that the explosion at Rameshwaram Cafe is not due to a cylinder but a clear case of a bomb blast. Surya wrote, "Just spoke to Rameshwaram Café founder Sri Nagaraj about the blast in his restaurant. He informed me that the blast occurred because of a bag that was left by a customer and not any cylinder explosion. One of their employees is injured. It’s seems to be a clear case of bomb blast."
