A Range Rover car on Friday burned into flames on the Jalandhar-Amritsar highway. The incident took place near Vidhipur, Goraya.
Four people Robin, Jatin, Rishu and Karamveer were in the car when the car caught fire. Seeing the smoke rising, the occupants of the car immediately got down and saved their lives. Soon after, the car was engulfed in flames.
Jatinder Singh, a resident of Goraya, had brought the Range Rover car for sale to Vidhipur in Jalandhar. Jatinder took the customers for a test drive, but during the test drive itself, the moving car caught fire. People tried to extinguish the fire with mud and water, but as people tried to extinguish the fire, it kept on increasing. People also called the fire brigade during this time.

Jatinder Kumar, SFO of Kartarpur Fire Brigade reached the spot with the vehicle, but by then the car was destroyed. Fire personnel extinguished the fire by using water cannons. Experts say that the car was on petrol and the fire started due to a short circuit. The sparks emanating from the short circuit in the fully electronic vehicle engulfed the fuel pipe, causing the fire to flare up.
