'BeerBiceps' podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia broke the internet once again after the Mumbai Police alleged that he had been missing and not present at his home. As per reports, Ranveer Allahbadia was supposed to be present at Khar Police station to record his statement in the FIR filed in vulgar joke remarks linked to India's Got Latent. However, Allahbadia's lawyer approached the Supreme Court and filed a plea to club together all the FIRs filed against him across the country. The YouTuber also applied for anticipatory bail, fearing action from the Guwahati Police. 

As per India Today report, Mumbai Police stated that Ranveer Allahbadia was unreachable, with his phone switched off and his residence was locked. The Mumbai Police also said that they couldn't reach Ranveer Allahbadia's lawyer either.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Supreme Court of India declined to entertain Ranveer Allahbadia's urgent plea to club together multiple FIRs on Friday, saying that the matter would be taken up in due course.

For those who are, the Assam Police has named Ranveer Allahbadia and four others in its FIR for allegedly "promoting obscenity and engaging in sexually explicit and vulgar discussion on the now-deleted YouTube show- India's Got Latent. 

Maharashtra Cyber Cell, the Mumbai Police, and the Assam Police have all issued summons to Ranveer Allahbadia and 29 others based on the FIRs filed against them in connection with the obscene remarks row.

Ranveer Allahbadia's Apology

Notably, Ranveer Allahbadia had issued an apology video after the uproar. "I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s Got Latent. I’m sorry," he wrote in the caption for the video he shared on social media.

“My comment was not just inappropriate, it was not even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wished to use my platform and obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here to apologise. I personally had a lapse in judgement. It was not cool on my part,” Ranveer Allahbadia said in the video message.
