"Medical report of Rohit Sharma says he could be in danger": Indian Cricket Team Coach Ravi Shastri

India will be touring Australia for three ODIs, three T20Is, and four Tests, scheduled to be played between November 27 and January 19. Virat Kohli-led Team India will begin the title defense of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with the pink-ball Test in Adelaide from December 17. It will be followed by Tests at the MCG (December 26), the Sydney Cricket Ground (January 7) and the Gabba (January 15).

However, India's ace opener Rohit Sharma has not been selected for Australia's tour. The exclusion of Rohit Sharma has raised many eyebrows and people are asking questions from the BCCI that why the 'Hitman' is not selected for the Australian tour. 

While the report suggests that Rohit Sharma is going through a hamstring injury but he was seen batting in the nets of the Mumbai Indians. Now Indian Cricket Team head coach Ravi Shastri has finally responded to it. 

However, Shastri's response seemed to be diplomatic still, the head coach of the Indian Cricket Team hinted that Rohit Sharma's medical condition is not in a good state. 

Talking to Times Now, Ravi Shastri said, "It's been handled by the people in charge of the medical part of it. They have got some reports and we don't get involved as support staff. They have basically submitted their report to the selector and they have gone about doing their job."

On being asked that being the head coach of the Indian Cricket Team how can he sideline himself from this? Shastri replied, "I Obviously know about the report but I have absolutely no say. Even if I want something  I have no say. I have no vote neither I am a part of the selection. So all I know is the medical report which says that he could be in danger of injuring himself again is he is not careful. Rohit is one of the best white ballplayers in the world who doesn't want him in the team?"
