Netflix is back with yet another spine-chilling docu-drama web series of Indian Predator Season 2. Indian Predator: Diary of a Serial Killer trailer was released on Netflix India on August 20 and ever since then fans have been eagerly waiting for the web series, Indian Predator 2 is the second installment of Netflix's docu-drama web series. Indian Predator Season 1 which was released under the name of 'The butcher of Delhi' discussed the investigation into Chandrakant Jha, one of the most gruesome serial killers in the country's history. He was convicted in 2013 for three gruesome killings between 2003 and 2007. Now, with Indian Predator Season 2 all set to release on Netflix on September 7, the question arises which case the web series will be focusing on. Furthermore, another question arises Is Indian Predator: Diary of a Serial Killer a true story or Indian Predator 2 a true story or Indian Predator 2 is a real story or not?
The answer to this question is yes. Indian Predator: Diary of a Serial Killer is a true story based on the cold-blooded convicted killer Raja Kolander. Netflix's docu-drama web series portrays dramatic versions of real-story stories or incidents that have already taken place in the past. Among the top example of Netflix docu-drama is none other than 'House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths'. Coming to Indian Predator Season 2 True Story, the web series recounts the investigation and incidents related to 'cannibal' named Raja Kolander who came to the spotlight in connection with the murder of Dhirendra Singh, a reporter for a Hindi daily.
Reportedly, Raja Kolander had shot Dhirendra Singh at a farmhouse before beheading him and had later dumped his body with the help of his brother-in-law Vakshraj Kol, at a pond in Rewa district of neighbouring Madhya Pradesh. After spending 12 years in jail Raja Kolander and his brother-in-law were convicted by the court and were sentenced to life imprisonment. As per reports, Kolander had killed Singh as threatened to expose him on his involvement in criminal activities including loot, and murder.
During the investigation, the Police unearthed shocking details about Kolander. They found out Raja Kolander was a cannibal and used to perform sorcery. It was found that Raja used to behead the victims and their private parts as well and used to eat them as part of his sorcery. During the probe investigation, police also found human skeletons from the farmhouse and claimed that it indicated Kolander had killed more than a dozen people and dumped their bodies after performing some sort of sorcery that involved cannibalism.
Although the court found Raja and his brother-in-law's involvement in killing the journalist, they were not charged with other murders as the Police failed to establish any links between the deceased with the cold-blooded murderers.
