Prime Video debuted the Karla Souza drama 'La Caida' (Dive) 11 after its world premiere at the Morelia International Film Festival. La Caida was among the much awaited movie, courtesy of 'How to Get Away with Murder' star Souza who has performed brilliantly in the topical drama directed by high-flying Argentine helmer-scribe Lucía Puenzo. For the unversed, Souza is known for her performances in Mexican hit family comedy 'We are the Nobles,' action-comedy 'Day Shift' opposite Jamie Foxx, as well as the Shondaland TV series 'How to Get Away with Murder,' among others. La Caida revolves around a female athlete who is a swimmer and awaiting for her last chance to represent her country in Olympics. With the storyline so relating to public, fans are wondering whether La Caida is a true story or La Caida is a real story or not.

Souza was quoted by multiple Spanish media saying that this movie was the most challenging for her. Not only this, Souza also pointed out facts related to sexual harassment the athletes of Mexico go through especially by their coaches. "La Caída’ is the most challenging and personal project of my career. I have found true growth and my own power and agency in the telling of this story," said Souza.

On the theme of sexual abuse, Souza said, "Our hope is to elevate the complex conversations surrounding the systemic abuse of power in our culture." Early research on the project revealed that in Mexico, 71% of athletes have suffered some kind of harassment or abuse and in 67% of these cases, the trainer was the main culprit as per Souza.
