Bollywood actress Kiara Advani on Thursday appeared on the latest episode of Koffee with Karan Season 8 along with actor Vicky Kaushal. As usual, Koffee with Karan's latest episode was full of relevation and confessions that fans generally don't get. Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal were welcomed with high praise by show host Karan Johar. While Kiara was termed as 'beauty', Vicky Kaushal was termed as 'Bahadur' by Karan Johar in a reference to his movie Sam Bahadur. However, what raised everyone's eyebrows when Kiara Advani revealed a conversation when she was sitting beside English football legend David Beckham at the Wankhede Stadium during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Semi Final.
Karan Johar pointed out Kiara Advani's massive success and back-to-back hits in 2023 and explained how the filmmakers have started to feel her as a lucky mascot. Responding to this, Kiara Advani narrated a conversation when she was sitting alongside David Beckham during the India vs New Zealand Semi Final 2023.
Kiara said, "It feels great that the films have done so well but I must share this because you said lucky. I was at the semi-final (ICC Cricket World Cup 2023) and I happened to be sitting next to David Beckham and someone around us was talking about how India is on a lucky streak with the way they were playing. He said to me 'It's not luck. It's someone's hard work. It hit me, it resonated with me because it's never just a fluke.
It's always a team, in our case of course there are many people's hard work. It's talent, skill, hard work. If you don't have that no matter if the stars are in your favour not everyone hits it out. So, I feel grateful that I have got."
For the unversed, Team India defeated New Zealand at the Wankhede stadium and qualified for the ICC World Cup 2023 final. The Men In Blue registered their 10th consecutive win in the World Cup 2023 after they defeated the Black Caps. The India vs New Zealand was attended by many celebrities including Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Shahid Kapoor, John Abraham, etc. Sachin Tendulkar and David Beckham came at the Wankhede stadium on behalf of UNICEF.
