All about Kora in Rebel Moon- Part 1
Before talking about Kora, let's understand the Netflix space drama in brief. Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire has been inspired by iconic works like Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai and Star Wars, this sci-fi action spectacle revolves around rebels united against an evil empire. The storyline evolves when Motherland and Admiral Atticus Noble visit a farming colony, Veldt, and force the peasants to grow food and give them in return for heavy payments. However, after farmers say that they will starve if they give almost all the food to Motherland then they are threatened by the Admiral. Not only this, the community leader was brutally killed by Admiral Atticus Noble. This instilled fear. However, what is unknown to Admiral Atticus Noble is the presence of Kora. Kora was once a general of Motherland and was the adopted daughter of Motherland's Admiral.
Now, coming to the question, Kora was taken by the Motherland Admiral when she was a young child. Her family were slaughtered by Motherland fighters in order to crush the rebellion against the Realm. However, Kora's bravery at a young age impressed the Admiral and he decided to take her away and raise her as his own daughter.
Despite Kora being raised by the Admiral she never forgot that the Motherland slaughtered her entire village. As a result, after the king's death, she was found by a peasant who took her to the farming land of Veldt. After Noble's threats, Kora goes on to assemble a team that can fight the Motherland. And, hence the story starts. In the end, it is shown that Noble was killed by Kora but then he was resurrected by Motherland and was directed to slaughter every rebel and bring Kora alive.
On Tuesday, Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver trailer was released and it showcased the Motherland going on an all-out war against the people of Veldt so that they can crush the rebellion and take Kora back so that she can face her fate.
