Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty for the first time late Thursday night opened up on her stint in Byculla jail in Mumbai where she was lodged in the drugs case that emerged from the Sushant Singh Rajput case. The NCB arrested Rhea Chakraborty on drug charges that emerged from her chats during the Sushant Singh Rajput Case investigation. While the CBI is still probing the cause of Sushant Singh Rajput's mysterious death, Rhea Chakraborty seems to have moved on. On Thursday, she happily opened up about her 'interesting time' in the Byculla Jail. Rhea Chakraborty recently attended a media event where she explained her narrative or point of view when she was spending her days in judicial custody. Rhea Chakraborty, girlfriend of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, was subjected to online criticism and the parents of the late actor had filed an FIR against her in Patna under abutment to suicide charges which was later transferred to the CBI.
During the interactive session with the media portal, Rhea Chakraborty revealed an interesting anecdote from her days in Byculla Jail. She revealed that she actually gave a dance performance for prisoners inside Byculla Jail on the day she got bail. "The day I got bail my brother didn't get bail. I was devastated. It was the only time I broke down entirely in jail. I had promised all the girls that I would dance for you all. Hence, they were saying dance for us. The bail was granted but I was not happy. My heart was hurting. So, I refused them at first. Then the jailer came up to me and told me not to do it. As she walked away, I thought I was leaving and I was probably never gonna see these women again. If I would give them 5 minutes of happiness by putting on a dance performance for them, then why not? Therefore, I did and it was the most ecstatic moment of my life because we were doing the Nagin dance on the floor. The happiness which I saw them is probably the highest point in my life to date."
Accusations against Rhea Chakraborty
It is pertinent to mention here that Rhea faced 1 month jail term after getting arrested by the NCB in the drug case linked to the SSR’s death. Sushant's father registered a five-page FIR against Rhea on Sunday, accusing the actress of instigating the actor to commit suicide. The case was filed against the 'Mere Dad Ki Maruti' actress under sections 406, 420, 341, 323, and 342 of the IPC. The FIR stated that Rhea withdrew Sushant's money in the pretext of love. Sushant's father also expressed his inability to go to Mumbai to fight the case due to his health issues. Therefore, the case was filed in Patna. Patna’s SSP had said that the case had been filed under special circumstances and hence the FIR was kept under the classified category and sent to the court. For the unversed, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead under mysterious circumstances on June 14, 2020, at his Bandra residence.
