Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty on Friday was grilled by the Enforcement Directorate for almost 9 hours. However, Rhea dodged most of the questions by the ED, there were few questions to which Rhea answered. Going by the reports of ETimes, Rhea told the ED that she had not used Sushant's money for any of her investments and had taken a bank loan to buy a flat in the Khar (east).
The ED on Friday had summoned Rhea to question her on the money laundering case. After recording Rhea's statement, the ED has summoned her father Indrajit and brother Showik on Monday. The ED is investigating Sushant’s financial transactions, including allegations that Rs 15 crore were siphoned off from his account. Rhea reportedly told ED officials that she had purchased a flat in Khar (east) worth Rs 85 lakh for which she availed a bank loan and added Rs 25 lakh from her own savings. She claimed to have paid in the form of EMI.
Rhea also refuted using Sushant's money for her expenses and said that she has been managing from her own earnings. She claimed she was director only in one of the two firms along with Sushant. Showik was a director in both the companies which are under the ED lens. ED may call Rhea for further clarifications. It also recorded the statement of Rajput’s former business manager Shruti Modi who was appointed by none other than Rhea Chakraborty.
