Lok Sabha Member Sushil Kumar Rinku started the new year on Monday by meeting Chief Minister Bhagwan Singh Maa wherein he had a detailed discussion on the development projects related to Jalandhar parliamentary constituency.
The MP said that several major projects are coming up soon as discussed during the meeting with Chief Minister Bhagwan Singh Mann. While congratulating him on the New Year, the MP presented a bouquet of flowers to the CM. He especially congratulated the Chief Minister on the Punjab Government's step of purchasing the private thermal plant located at Sri Goindwal Sahib and said that with this decision, the Punjab Government has made its intentions clear to provide cheap and uninterrupted electricity to the people of the state. Mr. Rinku said that while the previous governments were selling public properties to private companies, the current Mann government of Punjab has taken a very historic step by purchasing a private thermal plant. He said that this decision will prove to be a milestone in making the state self-reliant in power generation. This thermal power plant located at Sri Goindwal Sahib under Tarn Taran district has the capacity to produce 540 MW of electricity, which will be operated by the government smoothly with an aim to increase its capacity further.
Lok Sabha member Sushil Kumar Rinku also discussed with Chief Minister Bhagwan Singh Mann about the ongoing development works in Jalandhar parliamentary constituency and also discussed about upcoming new projects. The MP said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is going to start many big projects for Jalandhar constituency which will increase the basic infrastructure of Jalandhar and this district will script a new success story of development.
