Famous Tamil actor Vivek passed away in Chennai on Saturday morning. As per the hospital bulletin the actor died at 4:45 am. On Friday, the actor was rushed to the hospital after a major stroke of heart attack. The doctors informed that Vivek had a full blockage in the left anterior descending artery (LAD vessel) which leads to major cardiac arrest.
The Padma Shri awardee Vivek was in critical condition and was shifted to Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) after complaints of acute coronary syndrome with cardiogenic shock.
On Friday evening the SIMS hospital where the actor was admitted issued a statement informing the public about his critical condition. The Hospital authority said that the actor was brought in an unconscious state. The doctor's statement reads, "this is an acute coronary syndrome with cardiogenic shock".
Earlier on Thursday, the actor-comedian had taken his shot of Covid-19 vaccine and after that he had complained about chest pain to his family members. But the doctors have ruled out any link of his health condition with the shot of Covid vaccine he took. The actor took a Covaxin shot from Government Multi Super Speciality in Chennai.

On the work front, the actor-comedian and Padma Shri awardee Vivek, has performed in more than 220 films. Vivek was known for his witty tongue, sharp timing and the mimicry talent. He played various roles with superstars like Rajinikanth like Run, Perazhagan, Dhool, Anniyan and Sivaji were the most popular ones among others. He also played the lead role in a Tamil film 'Solli Adippen' however the film never saw the clear sky.
Vivek was also a great social activist, he highlighted the issues of girl chil infanticide, caste clashes, and religious superstitions.
