Normally when your country wins a match against its arch-nemesis, the incredible hits and celebrations are one’s favourite moment. However, for the ex-Pakistani cricketer and coach Waqar Younis, the favourite part was cricketer Mohammad Rizwan offering Namaz while surrounded by Hindus.
Former Pakistani fast bowler and captain Waqar Younis said, "Pakistani player offering Namaz amid Hindus was his 'favourite part' of India-Pakistan match.”
On Sunday (October 24), the Babar Azam-led Pakistan team made history by defeating India by 10 wickets in their ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 match in Dubai. This is
Pakistan's first
World Cup victory over India. India had previously beaten Pakistan in 12 matches.
Pakistan's openers Mohammad Rizwan and captain Babar played brilliantly to secure a memorable victory.
Meanwhile, a video of Rizwan offering Namaz during a drink break had gone viral on social media. The video gained attention of people all around the world, with Waqar Younis taking the chance to bring religion to a beautiful moment.

Waqar praised wicketkeeper and batsman Mohammad Rizwan for his innings on a Pakistani TV show after Pakistan's T20 WC victory over India, and then added, "The best thing that Rizwan
did was, mashallah, he offered namaz on the ground, while surrounded by Hindus, which was very very special for me."
Waqar was accompanied by former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar on the Pakistani news channel after achieving the historic win.
Rizwan offering Namaz on the field during drinks break could be a violation of the ICC's code of conduct, which states that religion must be kept out of the game at all times.
