In a broad daylight robbery bid, one of the three armed men was killed while attempting to loot cash and gold at Muthoot Finance based in Daresi in Ludhiana this morning. In the melee, the company manager too suffered bullet injuries.
As per information, after the robbers opened fire at the company staff and security, the guards too in self defence opened fire in which one of the robbers was shot dead while another managed to escape. The third was nabbed by the company employees and the people present.
The company manager too suffered a bullet injury and the security guard was also injured.
Meanwhile, senior police officials led by Joint Commissioner of Police - J Elanchezhian reached the spot and took control of the situation.
The police informed that the company staff and other people present over there nabbed one of the robbers, while another one was killed and their attempt to loot was thwarted.
Police said they are investigating the matter, and the CCTV footage is being scanned to nab other robbers.
