On February 22, the incident took place in Nanakheda area of Ujjain. The man was identified as Ganesh, who after six days of treatment surrendered to his injuries.
For better treatment, Ganesh was referred to Indore, Madhya Pradesh where he took his last breath.

The accusesd, Suraj and Shubham, had demanded for Rs.10 from Ganesh. When the victim refused to give amount, one of the accused threw petrol on the victim's hand, then with match stick set Ganesh ablazed.
Within seconds flames engulfed the Ganesh thoroughly. However, the entire incident was captured in CCTV cameras, both accused Shubham and Suraj can be seen in it.
Apparently, the local police took action against the accused and charged them for attempt to murder case. Sufficient evidence are available against both the accused as they can be seen clearly in the CCTV footage, said police.
