Team India former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on Monday blasted cyber frauds for creating his deep fake video and appealed to Maharashtra Cyber Cell and the government of India to take strict actions. Sachin Tendulkar Deepfake video went viral on Monday and the cricketer himself shared the clip with the caption cautioning fans not to believe it. Sachin Tendulkar's deep fake video was concerning for another reason as the cyber criminals used the name of his daughter Sara Tendulkar to advertise an gaming app.
Sharing the viral Sachin Tendulkar deepfake video, the former cricketer wrote, "These videos are fake. It is disturbing to see rampant misuse of technology. Request everyone to report videos, ads & apps like these in large numbers. Social Media platforms need to be alert and responsive to complaints. Swift action from their end is crucial to stopping the spread of misinformation and deepfakes." Sachin also tagged Maharashtra Cyber Cell, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar, and the Ministry of Electronics & IT.
In the viral Sachin Tendulkar Deepfake video, the cricketer's fake voice says, "My daughter is playing this game which everyone is talking about. She plays the game every day and withdraws Rs 180 thousand crores. Sometimes I get amazed at how earning money is so easy now."
Reacting to Sachin Tendulkar deeofake video, a user wrote, "I also wanted to ask you for this video.. you should file a case against this application owner.. disgusting and disturbing advertisement."
Another user wrote, "Sir, you should file a case against them for misleading people and teach them a lesson."
