Team India skipper Rohit Sharma and batter Shreyas Iyer recently appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. Episode 2 of The Great Indian Kapil Show aired on Netflix on Saturday and it was among those rare times when Team India skipper Rohit Sharma gave a public appearance on a reality show along with Shreyas Iyer. While Rohit Sharma opened up about losing the World Cup 2023 finals for the first time in the public domain, Shreyas Iyer spilled some dressing room secrets at Netflix's The Great Indian Kapil Show. While the entire episode was filled with jokes & light-hearted moments, it was Shreyas Iyer's honest confession that raised everyone's eyebrows.
Comedian & host Kapil Sharma asked Shreyas Iyer whether he approached any female fan after the match or not during the show. Making an honest confession Shreyas Iyer said, "No, during my first year playing in the IPL, I noticed a very beautiful girl in the stands. And I said 'Hi' to her. This happened many years ago. During that Facebook was very popular. After the match, I was hoping to get a message on Facebook. So, I kept on checking my messages. That was the only incident with me."
For the unversed, Shreyas Iyer made his IPL debut in 2015 for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). During the 2015 IPL auction, Shreyas was bought for Rs 2.6 crore (about US$416,000). Currently, the 29-year-old cricketer captains Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and his team at number 2 after winning 3 out of 3 matches. Shah Rukh Khan-owned KKR bought Shreyas Iyer in the IPL 2022 auction for INR 12.25 crore.
