Maharastra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackery in a statement praised the Nehru-Gandhi family and said, "India is surviving because of Nehru-Gandhi family". BJP spokesman Sambit Patra retweeted and his tweet read, "Is this misprint? Did he really say this?"
CM Thackery slammed Modi government's handling and said that the country has been working because of the system created by the Nehru-Gandhi family. Sambit replied Maharastra CM and himself got criticized by the users of the micro-blogging application.

One of the users commented, "Dear Sambit Patra, may or may not be India is surviving because of Nehru-Gandhi family but surely India is dying because of Modi and Shah."
Another user said, "Yes he said this because Nehru and Gandhi led Congress is only responsible for a number of hospitals existing and running now and they are saving lives, they did not waste time in 'Maan ki Baat. What did hurt you?"

Tweet of one more netizen read, "This is right Sambit Patra... if Nehru-Gandhi has not made so many hospitals and industries then what would have happened today, just imagine. Modi Government has only concentrated on communal violence."
