Amidst the ongoing controversy on Sushant Singh Rajput's death, former Cook of the later actor Ashok interacted with the media. In his interaction, Ashok said that Sushant was always a friendly person why never get angry. And if he got angry then anger used to vanish quickly.
Ashok revealed that he never saw Sushant visit a doctor or take medicines. He said that he left for his home in September 2019 but when he returned in October, he was told he has been sacked. Ashok said that house Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda informed him that it was Rhea who sacked him.
Talking about his health, Ashok said Sushant was fine but started falling sick after his Europe trip with Rhea. He said at first they were told it was dengue but later realized it was depression. “Never saw her (Rhea) taking control of him until the Europe trip post which Sushant starting falling sick. In the early stages we were told it’s dengue but now am coming to know that he was down with depression,” he said.

Ashok also revealed that Sushant's sisters Priyanka and Meetu tried to visit him in December 2019 but the actor refused to meet them saying he was in a meeting. However, it was revealed that he was in no meeting. Ashok also went on to reveal that after Sushant refused to meet them, the sisters broke down.
Ashok also revealed that Rhea did not tell the family that Sushant was sick. Ashok went on to say that every staff member was told that he was suffering from dengue. All of Sushant's personal things were handled by Rhea Chakraborty. Ashok said that when every old staff was sacked gradually then they felt that it was not Sushant it was Rhea who sacked them.
