Guardians of Governance (GoG), who are demanding job reinstatement, protested today in Sangrur and asked for a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

They first demonstrated in front of the recently opened office of the local AAP MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj and then attempted to gherao the Chief Minister's mother and wife. Later, they demonstrated in front of the residence of the Finance Minister, Harpal Singh Cheema.

GOGs gathered at the Chowk and raised anti-Punjab government slogans after learning about the wife and mother of the CM inaugurating the MLA office at Railway Chowk. They said that they worked tirelessly to ensure the correct execution of Punjab government projects. The Punjab CM, however, terminated their jobs after labeling them as non-performers.

"We have all the documentation to substantiate our efforts to maintain transparency. However, the chief minister of Punjab labeled us as underperformers and terminated our employment without cause. The protesting GOGs stated, "Our protest will continue till our reinstatement, and we are demanding a meeting with the Punjab CM to inform him about our job.

In addition, when the CM's mother and wife were leaving the MLA's office following its opening, protesters attempted to gherao their vehicles. Cops and GOGs pushed each other as cops attempted to remove protesters to clear the route for the VIPs.

GOGs from other areas joined the demonstration in Sangrur as well, which made things difficult for the Sangrur police. Senior police officers, such as SPs, SHOs, and civil administration officers, also arrived at the location. They did their best to persuade the protesters, but they were unsuccessful.

Later, GOGs staged a demonstration while seated on the side of Haripura Road close to FM's home. They raised anti-Punjab government slogans.
