Our mission is complete, said a visibly relaxed Sanjay Raut on Wednesday ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of his leader and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray as the Maharashtra CM on November 28.

"Everyone mocked me when I said there will be a Shiv Sena CM. Today, the mission is complete as Uddhav Thackeray gets ready to take over," said Sanjay Raut.

"Hamara Suryayaan Mantralaya par land ho gaya," the Shiv Sena leader said in a reference to a claim he had made after Aaditya Thackeray was announced a candidate in the Assembly elections. After Shiv Sena announced that Aaditya will be contesting election from Worli, Sanjay Raut had said the party they will ensure the 6th-floor office for Aaditya Thackeray in Mantralaya (CM's office).

On Ajit Pawar, who resigned as the Maharashtra deputy CM on Tuesday which paved the way for Sena-NCP-Congress government, Sanjay Raut said Pawar junior will play a big role in future.

On Ajit Pawar role in government formation, Sanjay Raut made a cheeky remark and said, "Ajit Pawar will play a big role in the alliance. He is ours...dekhiye kitna bada kaam karke aaye hain (Look at the things that he has pulled off)."

"Aane wale samay mein agar ye surya yaan Delhi mein bhi utre toh aapko aashcharya nahi hoga," said Sanjay Raut.

Sanjay Raut also said Shiv Sena will invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the swearing-in ceremony of Udhav Thackeray.
