On Friday, a passenger plane crashed in the city of Vinhedo in the Sao Paulo state of Brazil. According to Brazilian airline VoePass, a total of 62 people were on board the plane that crashed. The aviation company has confirmed that all the people who were on board died in the accident. Before the crash, smoke was seen coming out from the front part of the plane. At present, the causes of the accident are being ascertained. Efforts are on to recover the black box of the plane.
According to Brazilian media reports, the Civil Defense Department has said that the plane fell in a residential area. During this, it hit several houses. The VoePass plane had departed from Cascavel and was on its way to Sao Paulo.
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva appealed for a minute of silence at a program in southern Brazil.
