What happened to Abdul Karim Telgi?

 

Scam 2003 - The Telgi Story Volume 2 has showcased Abdul Karim Telgi was tested positive for HIV. Notably, Telgi had an extramarital affair with a bar girl. Telgi came under the scanner of authorities and politicians when he spent almost Rs 100 crore cash on the girl for whom he used to feel inside the bar in a matter of few hours. Although Scam 2003 - The Telgi Story Volume 2 does not confirm that Abdul Telgi got infected with HIV by the bar girl, it indeed broke the mastermind of the fake paper stamp case. 

 

Talking about 'real life' Abdul Karim Telgi's death reason, he was arrested in 2001 and later he was sentenced to 30 years of prison. In 2002, Abdul tested HIV positive. Finally, in 2013, Abdul was convicted of selling fake stamp papers worth Rs 17 lakhs. Abdul Telgi died suffering from multiple organ failure in Bengaluru on 23 October 2017. Notably, Abdul was acquitted by the Nashik sessions court, a year after his demise, due to lack of evidence.
