If you have ever been harassed by spam calls, whether commercial or personal, you must have heard of the mobile app Truecaller. The app is free (contains advertisements) and automatically identifies most of the numbers calling you. The app uses Internet connection to promptly get the caller id i.e. who is calling.
Users of the app were not satisfied though. Decreasing attention span and an increasingly hectic lifestyle do not allow for leisure phone calls with most people.
To complicate the matters, sometimes, even a near and dear one may be calling at an inopportune time.
Truecaller has given birth to a new feature – Call Reason.
The only requirements for the facility to work are that both parties have Truecaller installed and Internet connection.

The caller will have the option to set a reason for calling, and the company anticipates that this feature is expected to increase pick up rates, especially when callers are calling from new numbers.
To make the deal sweeter, the feature will be free, and will be available to all users in an upcoming release.
