A 12 year old student of 7th standard was allegedly tortured and beaten to death his seniors at a boarding school in Dehradun. The police today said that the school authorities, instead of reporting the crime, hid the boy's body within its campus compound.

The parents of the deceased boy live 200 km away in Hapur and were unaware about the incident for almost a day. It was on March 10th that the appalling incident took place. However Dehradun senior police officer Nivedita Kukreti told news agency that the incidence surfaced after the Uttarakhand Commission for Protection of Child Rights intervened.
The boy had allegedly stolen some biscuits during a school outing because of which the school administration banned the students from leaving the campus as a punishment. He was reportedly tortured by his seniors and was subsequently beaten up with cricket bats and wickets.

The police has informed that the seniors blamed him for the ban on leaving the campus. The boy was bleeding when he was taken to the hospital. But the hospital declared that he was brought dead. On Tuesday, the body was for a post-mortem after it was dug up by the police. Police officer informed that the post-mortem reports revealed that the boy died due to internal injury shock.
