From September 1, 2024, a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has become costlier by Rs 39. There have been changes in telecommunication regulations from today due to which fake calls and messages can be stopped.

Apart from this, air travel may become cheaper due to falling prices of aviation fuel. Oil marketing companies have reduced the prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) by Rs 4,567 per kiloliter (1000 litres).

Commercial gas cylinder becomes expensive: 

Price increased by Rs 39, no change in the prices of domestic cylinders. From today, a 19 kg commercial cylinder has become costlier by Rs 39. The price in Delhi has now increased by Rs 39 to ₹ 1691.50. Earlier it was available for ₹ 1652.50. In Kolkata, it is available at ₹ 1802.50, increasing by Rs 38, earlier its price was ₹ 1764.50.

In Mumbai, the price of a cylinder has increased by Rs 39 from Rs 1605 to Rs 1644. Cylinder is available for Rs 1855 in Chennai. However, there is no change in the price of the 14.2 KG domestic gas cylinder. It is available for ₹ 803 in Delhi and ₹ 802.50 in Mumbai.

ATF cheaper by Rs 4,567.76:

Air travel can become cheaper. Oil marketing companies have reduced the prices of ATF in metros. This can make air travel cheaper. According to the website of Indian Oil, ATF in Delhi has become cheaper by Rs 4,495.50 to Rs 93,480.22 per kiloliter (1000 litres). Whereas in Chennai, ATF has become cheaper by Rs 4,567.76 to Rs 97,064.32 per kilolitre.

In Kolkata, ATF was available at Rs 100520.88 per kilolitre, now it will become cheaper by Rs 4,222.44 and will be available at Rs 96,298.44. The price of ATF in Mumbai has decreased by Rs 4,217.56. It is now available at Rs 87,432.78 per kilolitre.

Changes in telecom rules: 

Fake calls and messages can be stopped. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has implemented changes in telecom rules from today to prevent cybercriminal activity related to fraud calls and SMS scams. TRAI had issued guidelines to telecom companies like Jio, Airtel.

In this, they will be prohibited from making telemarketing calls till September 30, 2024 and Business messaging, especially from the 140 mobile number series. Blockchain-based distributed ledger to initiate calls instructions were given to shift to technology platform.

Rs 450 cylinder in Rajasthan:

Benefit to families belonging to NFSA. In Rajasthan, families covered under National Food Security Act (NFSA) will get a gas cylinder for Rs 450. In the budget, the state government had announced plans to provide LPG cylinders for Rs 450 to NFSA families along with BPL and Ujjwala connections. Now about 68 lakh families will benefit from this decision of the government.

At present the government is providing LPG cylinders to about 70 lakh families (Ujjwala connection and BPL) at a subsidised rate of Rs 450. At present there are more than one crore 7 lakh 35 thousand families in the NFSA list in Rajasthan. Out of the total families included in this NFSA list, there are about 37 lakh families who are also included in the list of BPL or Ujjwala connection holders. 

Free Aadhaar update

Deadline extended till September 14, then Rs 50 charge. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the deadline for free Aadhaar card update till September 14, 2024. If your Aadhaar card is more than 10 years old, you can update it online for free till this date. There will be a service charge of ₹ 50 for updates after September 14. Free update service is available online only.

Changes in prices of Petrol and Diesel in these cities: 

In Delhi, petrol price will be 94.72 per litre and diesel price will be 87.62 per litre. Petrol and Diesel price in Chandigarh will be 94.24 per litre and 82.40 per litre respectively. In Jaipur, petrol price will be 104.88 per litre and diesel price will be 90.36 per litre. In Raipur, petrol price will be 100.39 per litre and diesel price will be 93.33 per litre. Petrol price in Mumbai will be 103.44 per litre and diesel price will be 89.97 per litre. In Kolkata, petrol price will be 103.94 per litre and diesel price will be 90.76 per litre.
