Serum Institute of India (SII) is going to ship Covid-19 vaccine of Oxford University and AstraZeneca to Canada in less than a month, according to a report published in Reuters.
Adar Poonawalla, CEO of SII tweeted, “As we await regulatory approvals from Canada, I assure you, @SerumInstIndia will fly out #COVISHIELD to Canada in less than a month; I’m on it!”

India is emerging as a key supplier of vaccines to the world and in these times of the pandemic, demand of vaccines is rising. Canada, as per reports have more than 8,25,000 cases while 21,000 deaths.
Last week, Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada and Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India had a conversation on phone call and Indian PM had assured of supplying vaccines to Canada.
Canada has also ordered vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna.
