In a bizarre development, Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan almost beat down a fan who requested a selfie with him. Shakib Al Hasan was standing at the boundary line during a match in the Dhaka Premier League. The Bangladeshi allrounder represents Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club in Dhaka Premier League. The 37-year-old allrounder was reportedly gearing up for toss when a fan approached him out of no where and requested him for a selfie.
In the viral Shakib Al Hasan video, a fan can be seen red t-shirt approaching the cricketer with his phone. Going by the video, Shakib at first refused to give the selfie, however, when the fan started to request him, the cricketer lost his calm. Things turned so ugly that Shakib grabbed the fan's neck and even gestured to slap him. Notably, it is not the first time Shakib has lost his calm on the cricket field.
The Bangladeshi player once uprooted all three wickets during a match in anger on the umpire's decision. Not only this, Shakib had also kicked the wickets that were kept on the bowler's end.
Coming back to Shakib Al Hasan's beating fan video, many fans have expressed their anger over the cricketer's gesture.
A user wrote, "Not sure why fans are still respecting him"
Another user wrote, "This is not in good taste at all. Shakib is manhandling the gentleman and has behaved very inappropriately."
One more user wrote, "It's personal decision whether someone wants to be clicked or not.. No one should try to do it when the person already denied. Being a celebrity or not they are humans too and have same emotions like other humans. If you will irritate anyone they will react like this."
