With BJP releasing another list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, Former Union Minister and Himachal Pradesh CM Shanta Kumar's career has come to an end as it was being speculated that the veteran leader will be contesting from Kangra though the leader had already expressed that he doesn't want ot contest elections this time around.
BJP has so far announced 297 candidates with Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar contesting from Muraina replacing Anoop Mishra. BJP has denied the election ticket to 9 current parliamentarians from which 5 are from Madhya Pradesh, 2 from Himachal Pradesh, one from Jharkhand and Gujarat each.

Announcing 48 names in the latest list, BJP has named 2 from Goa, 14 from Madhya Pradesh, 10 from Jharkhand, 14 from Gujarat, 4 from Himachal Pradesh and 2 from Karnataka.
BJP has also announced 3 candidates each for the bye-elections for the legislative assemblies of Goa and Gujarat each.
