Shatabdi, Shan-e-Punjab & more trains to skip Jalandhar; Check the full list

Senior railway official said that changes can be made by the railways regarding the operation of trains, so passengers are advised to leave their homes only after getting updated information about their trains.

Due to ongoing repair work by the Railways at Ladhowal near Ludhiana, multiple trains will be affected till 9th January.

A total of 54 trains including Pathankot-Delhi 22430-22429, Shan-e-Punjab 12497-12498, Amritsar-Jayanagar 04652-04651, Amritsar-Dalli 14679-14680, Jalandhar-Delhi 14682-14681, Amritsar-Haridwar 12053-12054, 12411-12412 Chandigarh-Amritsar, Gorakhpur, Barmer, Chandigarh, Lohia to New Delhi, Agra to Hoshiarpur will remain cancelled due to the repair work.

Apart from this, 12029-12030 Swarn Shatabdi and 12031-12032 Amritsar Shatabdi will not come to Jalandhar till January 8. These trains will return from Ludhiana, due to which the passengers will have to travel further through other options.

Trains including 22551-22552 Darbhanga-Jalandhar, 15532-15531 will be affected on January 5. The department has diverted multiple trains routes.

Trains including 19612, 14719-14720, 13307, 13308 will be sent forward through different routes. At the same time, more than 37 trains will also be delayed.

Regarding the inconvenience caused to the passengers, senior railway officials said that changes can be made by the railways regarding the operation of trains, so passengers going on a journey should leave their homes only after getting updated information about their trains.

He said that the development work will benefit the passengers and the work is being done by the railways for the public.

Various trains including Malwa of Vaishno Devi route got delayed. The passengers of 12715 Sachkhand Express going from Nanded Sahib to Amritsar had to wait for a long time, because the said train which was supposed to arrive at 8:15 am on 1 January, reached City Station at 8:45 am on 2 January with a delay of about 12 hours.

Similarly, 18237 Chhattisgarh Express going to Amritsar reached Cantt Station at 8 am with a delay of 3 and a half hours and 11057 Amritsar Express arrived at Cantt Station after 5 pm, being 3 hours late from its scheduled time of 2 pm. Additionally, Malwa 12919 Jalandhar going to Vaishno Devi reached Cantt Station at around 1:30 pm, being 3 hours late from its scheduled time of 10:30 pm and Jhelum Express 11077 going to Jammu Tawi was 2:45 hours late from its scheduled time of Jalandhar.
