After BJP snubbed the actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha from the Patna Sahib seat, Congress has held hands with the 'now' former BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha who has joined Congress in presence of the party chief Rahul Gandhi.
"He (Rahul Gandhi) was very encouraging and positive. He praised me saying I had handled attacks and vilification in the BJP with dignity," said Sinha.
"He is younger to me, but today he is a popular leader of the country. I am a supporter of the Nehru-Gandhi family. I consider them nation builders," he added.
The photo after the meeting of the Congress chief with the actor-politician shows that the planning for Sinha joining Congress was underway for quite long.

Sinha's relations with the party had soured for a long period yet he had maintained that he won't quit the party. However, he had been criticizing the party time and again for various reasons. He had been ultimately snubbed by the saffron party giving the ticket from Patna Sahib constituency to Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
Sinha will officially join the Congress on April 6 as tweeted by a party leader.
"It is a masterstroke by the master of situation @RahulGandhi declaring #MinimumIncomeGuarantee scheme. It has rattled our people so much that some of our prominent people had to rush for a press conference, calling the whole declaration/announcement chhal-kapat (cheating)," tweeted Sinha.
