Shehnaaz Gill's father Santokh Singh had allegedly received death threats via an unknown WhatsApp call, extorting him for Rs. 50 lakhs. The Police have however claimed this to be false, saying that Santokh Singh Gill did not receive any threat and that police are investigating the matter. In a video, DSP of Baba Bakala Police Station Suvinderpal Singh informed that Santokh Gill created fake drama in order to get police protection. He also informed that the Gill had misused police protection before as well and is now misleading the masses by making false claims on the internet.
Yesterday Actress Shehnaz Gill Santokh Singh Gill's father had made a video viral on social media claiming that he had received a threatening call from a foreign number and a ransom of Rs 50 lakh had been demanded from him. Along with this, he had also said that person had warned them if he did not pay the extortion money, then first his actress daughter Shahnaz Gill and then he would be killed.
While talking to media, Santokh Gill had mentioned the lax functioning of the police administration. After which the police administration's side has also come forward on this matter. Police say that criminal cases are registered against Santokh Singh Gill and he was earlier given protection by the police because he was the president of a political organization. That was security Santokh Gill had misused and his current claims are false as well says the police.
