Actress Shilpa Shetty said, “ The past few days have been challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me cast by the media and (not so) well wishers as well.A lot of trolling/questions posed… not only to me but also to my family.”
She further said, “MY STAND… I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf.
“As a family, we are taking recourse to all our available legal remedies. But, till then I humbly request you - especially as a MOTHER - to respect our privacy for my children’s sake and request you to refrain from commenting on half-baked information without verifying the veracity of the same.” Shilpa said.

She further added that for the past 29 years, Shilpa Shetty has been a proud law-abiding Indian citizen and a hardworking professional. “I am a proud law-abiding Indian citizen and a hardworking professional for the last 29 years. People have put their faith in ME & I’ve never let anyone down.
So, most importantly, I request you to respect my family’s and ‘my right’ to privacy in these times.”
Shilpa Shetty concluded, “We don’t deserve a media trial. Please let the law take its course. Satyamev Jayate!.”
Meanwhile Hansal Mehta and actress Richa Chadha supports Actress Shilpa Shetty and calls out celebs for not supporting her.
Ratan Jain, Shilpa's mentor and producer, has also spoken out in favour of the Hungama 2 actor.
“As far as I know, Shilpa would never do something like that. I'm not sure how much she knew about her husband's business, but I don't believe she was active in it. This is not a job for a family member, and jitna main Shilpa ko jaanta hoon woh aisa kaam nahi karegi (I am sure Shilpa will not get involved in anything like this).”
“However, he concluded that one must leave it to the agencies that are examining the issue”.
Raj Kundra was arrested on July 19 on suspicion of making and streaming pornographic movies through mobile apps. The Mumbai police claim they have evidence that he was the case's "key conspirator".
