Ever since the failure of the Mumbai Police and Maharashtra government has been exposed in Sushant Singh Rajput's case, the ruling party of Maharashtra is under the scanner of the media and the people of India.
While the tussle between Kangana and Shiv Sena is far from over, a new cold war has erupted. Going by the reports of OP India the Shiv Sena on Thursday has asked the local cable operators in Maharashtra to ban the Republic media network or face consequences.
In a letter issued on Thursday, the Shiv Cable Sena, an affiliate to Shiv Sena, has asked the cable TV operators to ban the Republic Media network in the state. The Shiv Sena has also issued veiled threats to the cable operators to ban the Arnab Goswami-led media network or face consequences.
Going by the reports, the Mumbai Police has also arrested two Republic TV reporters on the direction of the Maharashtra State government. The tussle going on between the Uddhav government and Arnab Goswami over Shive Sena's tussle in Sushant's and Kangana's case.
Republic Editor-In-Chief Arnab Goswami released an official statement and demanded to release the arrested reports of the Republic. The statement reads, "Uddhav Thackeray, release my journalists. You have broken the law and we will not allow this illegality. You didn't write the constitution and you have no right to turn it upside down. Your party has sent letters to cable operators to illegally blackout republic. You are allowing and approving a series of illegalities."
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut also supported Arnab Goswami and shared Republic's official statements on Twitter.
