Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole has targeted Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar on Thursday over farmers protest. He accused these stars of not supporting the farmers' issues during the press conference. He asked why Big B and Akshay are silent on the issue of farmers? In the coming time, neither these actors' films will be shot in Maharashtra nor will their films be released.
He said that during the tenure of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, both of them used to talk about farmers through social media, but have now forgotten them. He questioned why everyone who has his opinion on everything is silent on such a big issue? The thing to think is that someone from abroad tweets against this government, even then they start answering it, then what happened now? This is a matter of common people, so they do not matter.
He said that stars like Big B and Akshay had tweeted when the price of petrol was Rs 70 per liter. Now its price is around 100 rupees per liter. Why are they still silent? Don't they dare to speak against the dictator Modi government?
Following this, the BJP slammed the Congress party, however, Shiv Sena actually supported the party's stance. Shiv Sena leader Arvind Sawant was quoted by ANI, who said, "Nana Patole's statement is correct when there was a slight increase in price yesterday, then these people used to come on the streets."
