Sam D'Souza, whose name had surfaced in connection with alleged extortion surrounding the Mumbai drugs bust case in which Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan was arrested, has made new claims. The so-called missing link in the entire case denied allegations of extracting 25 crores from SRK's manager Pooja Dadlani for the release of Aryan Khan from NCB’s custody.
The statement comes after Prabhakar Sail, the bodyguard of NCB witness KP Gosavi, levelled serious allegations against D'Souza. Sail claimed he overheard KP Gosavi strike a deal with
Sam D'Souza in exchange for the release of Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan.
Sam D'Souza, according to Prabhakar Sail, brought Kiran Gosavi and Pooja Dadlani face to face. Sail claimed that Gosavi planned to demand 25 crores from Pooja Dadlani and settled for
18 crore, eight crore of which was to be paid to NCB officer Sameer Wankhede.
In an interview with top media outlets, Sam D'Souza, who identifies himself as a liaison man, stated that he has been in Delhi the entire time and that he will soon record a statement
with the Special Investigation Team, which has taken over the case from Sameer Wankhede.
D'Souza claimed he had no knowledge of the 25-crore deal and was only there to set up a meeting between Gosavi and SRK's manager. According to him, Gosavi contacted him on October
1st, a day before the drugs raid, through Sunil Patil, a "power broker" with important connections.

"When I met Gosavi, I asked him what he wanted. He informed me that Aryan Khan had been arrested and that he needed to speak with SRK's manager. I stated that I did not have her
contact details, but that I would try. I couldn't get her number," Mr D'Souza said. The conversation between Gosavi and D'souza is of October 3, hours after Aryan Khan and others were apprehended following
a drugs raid on a cruise ship.
"Gosavi came back and told me that no drugs had been found on Aryan Khan and that we could assist him. Then I got (Pooja Dadlani's) phone number and got them to talk. I was present
at Gosavi and Pooja Dadlani's face-to-face meeting. Gosavi claimed to be an agency officer conducting an investigation. I didn't know him, so I trusted him and addressed him as sir.”
Gosavi made a number of false statements. He had even saved his bodyguard Prabhakar Sail's phone number as Sameer Wankhede (SW 2) in order to deceive us. He also had an NCB sticker on
his car," D'Souza explained.
Aryan Khan was arrested later that day.
"When Sunil Patil told me Gosavi had taken 50 lakh from Pooja Dadlani, we were shocked." Then Gosavi's photo with Aryan went viral. Sunil Patil and Gosavi were exposed as fraudsters.
Sunil Patil urged me to collect the funds. We got that money back for Pooja Dadlani," he said.
D'Souza also alleged a threat to his life and has requested police protection from the Maharashtra government. "Sunil Patil, Gosavi, Prabhakar Sail...all are phonies. The true storey will now be revealed. The truth will triumph," he stated.
