In a major development, the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday heard the case of the interview of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, the mastermind of the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, in police custody. During the hearing, the Punjab government reportedly informed the court that action has been started against the officers accused in this case. Not only this, but Show cause notice has been issued to the SSP, SP, DSP, and the then CIA in charge. It has already been made clear that the first interview of Lawrence Bishnoi was held by CIA Kharar and the second interview took place in Rajasthan.
How was the CIA in charge given an extension?
During the hearing, the High Court asked that the officers to whom the show cause notice had been issued. Where are they posted at this time? On this, the government said that action has been started. As soon as their reply comes, further action will be taken.
The court said that the information given by them should be given in the form of an affidavit. At the same time, the court specifically asked about Kharar CIA in-charge Shiv Kumar, where he is posted. The government lawyer said that he has retired. However, he has been given an extension. The court asked to explain in detail on what basis he has been given an extension.

For the unversed, Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's first interview was broadcast on March 14. In the interview, Lawrence confessed to getting Sidhu Moosewala killed. Lawrence said that Moosewala was getting involved in gang war instead of singing. Sidhu Moosewala was also involved in the murder of his college friend Akali leader Vicky Middukhera, Lawrence had alleged. That is why he got him killed. According to the SIT report, this is the same interview that he gave from CIA custody.
In the second interview, he gave proof of calling from the barrack
In his second interview, Lawrence also gave proof of doing the interview from inside the jail. He also showed his barrack and said that he is not allowed to go out, but he gets mobile and signal too. Lawrence said in his interview that the jail guards rarely come and go at night, which is why he is calling at night.

In this regard, lawyer Gaurav, who filed a petition against the interview, said that it became clear in today's hearing that there are black sheep in Punjab Police. Those who conducted this interview, this is not the work of any common man. However, efforts are being made to suppress it from the very beginning.
He said that the court has decided that whoever is involved in this case, direct action will be taken against them. At the same time, action will also be taken against the supervisors in this case. DGP will file an affidavit in this case.
