All banks under Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Maharastra jurisdiction shall remain closed on January 6, 2025. Sikhs around the world will observe the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj, the 10th Sikh Guru, whose leadership, courage, and vision transformed the Sikh community.

Since January 5th is already a Holiday on Sunday, the banks shall remain closed on Monday as well in the districts of Punjab and Chandigarh. The banks will be operational in the state from Tuesday, January 7th.
