Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Program to be Held in Jalandhar from December 8-14

The much-anticipated Shrimad Bhagwat Katha program will take place from December 8 to 14, 2024, at Sai Dass School Ground, Gopal Nagar, Near Patel Chowk, Jalandhar, from 5 PM to 9 PM. The program will be led by world-renowned Katha Vyas, Param Pujya Acharya Sri Gaurav Krishan Goswami Ji Maharaj, who will be arriving in Jalandhar on December 7, 2024.

The event is organized annually by Sri Bankey Bihari Bhagwat Prachar Samiti (Regd) Jalandhar, and is expected to attract thousands of devotees from outside the state. Sanjay Sehgal, an organizer, stated that Acharya Sri Gaurav Krishan Goswami Ji will be accompanied by Sri Krishna devotees and followers.

The program will feature divine music, spiritual discourses, and rituals, with the daily proceedings including Prabhu Puja at 5 PM by Yajman families, followed by Katha, and concluding with Shri Bankey Bihari Aarti.

On December 7, a grand Mangal Kalash Yatra will start at 4 PM from Sri Mahalakshmi Mandir, Old Jail Road, Jalandhar, and will pass through key areas including Jail Chowk, Sabji Mandi Chowk, and Patel Chowk. The Yatra will conclude at the Katha venue, followed by tea and Prasad.

Sanjay Sehgal encouraged people who have never visited Vrindavan to attend the event and receive the blessings. During the Katha, Acharya Sri Gaurav Krishan Goswami Ji will deliver discourses on spiritual Bhajans and social topics.

The Shri Bankey Bihari Bhagwat Prachar Samiti organizes these events annually to promote Sanatan Dharma, culture, social awareness, and regional welfare. Sunil Nayyar, Sanjay Sehgal, Umesh Ohri, Mahesh Makhija, Rajesh Bighamal, Bhupinder Singh, Sumit Goel, Davinder Arora, and other members of the Samiti expressed their honor in organizing the event and serving many great saints.

Acharya Sri Gaurav Krishan Goswami Ji, son of Spiritual Guru Acharya Shri Mridul Krishna Goswami Ji, is a descendent of Saint Swami Haridas, the founder of classical vocal music in India and the guru of Tansen and Baiju Bawra. He is the spiritual leader of the Goswami family, the caretakers of the Sri Bankey Bihari Temple in Vrindavan. A youth icon, he has garnered a significant following for his unique style in spiritual music and inspirational discourses.

Sunil Nayyar added that a waterproof pandal with seating arrangements for over 25,000 devotees has been set up, and parking arrangements are available opposite the Katha venue.

Acharya Sri Gaurav Krishan Goswami Ji is recognized as a prominent figure in Shrimad Bhagwat narration and devotional singing, with a large following both in India and abroad. The residents of Jalandhar and devotees are eagerly awaiting the start of this spiritual celebration.
