Charan Kaur, mother of slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala has announced to start a protest seeking justice for her son. Four months have passed since my son was attacked in a cowardly manner they have been given enough time, but all police have done is give assurance when they need to nab the real culprits.
Charan Kaur and their husband Balkaur Singh were addressing the slain singer’s fans at their home in Moosa village of Mansa district earlier today.
“We fully cooperated with the police and the government but nobody has done anything to deliver justice to us. It would have been better if we had not performed the cremation of our son till police arrested all the accused involved in his murder,” she said.
She went on to say everyone was addressing me as ‘Sherni’ I am not that brave. But in order to ensure my son is served the justice, I will do whatever it takes, “But I have now become a sherni to get justice for my son. Whether anyone comes or not, we two will sit and stage a protest demanding justice.”
Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on May 29th, after days of recce at his village in Mansa district while he was traveling to meet his aunt in Mahindra Thar along with his friends.
Later, when the news broke out prisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his aide Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for the singer’s murder.
Among six sharpshooters involved in the killing of Moose Wala 2 have been gunned down in an encounter by the Punjab Police near the Indo-Pak border, and 3 are under police remand whereas the location of one is still unknown.
In a big move to put the gang culture on the back foot, Punjab government had earlier announced talks with the Canadian authority to extradite Goldy Brar for further inquiry.
