Balkaur Singh Sarpanch: Late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala's father Balkaur Singh on Monday was elected as Sarpanch of Moosa Village in the Mansa district of Punjab. Sidhu Moose Wala's father Balkaur Singh was unanimously elected as Sarpanch of Moosa Village. The decision was met with widespread support from the villagers, who see Balkaur Singh as a figure of strength and inspiration following the tragic loss of his son & star Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Sidhu Moose Wala was himself part of the Congress party.
As Sarpanch, Balkaur Singh will now take on the responsibility of leading the village and addressing local issues, continuing the legacy of community service that Sidhu Moosewala often emphasized in his music. His unanimous election reflects the trust and respect that the residents of Moosa have for the Moosewala family.
Punjab Panchayat Elections 2024
Punjab Panchayat Election schedule was announced last Wednesday. Announcing the Punjab Panchayat Election Date 2024, Commissioner of the State Election Commission Raj Kamal Chaudhary stated that voting will be cast on October 15. The counting of votes will be done on the same date. He further said that nominations can be filed for the post of Panch and Sarpanch from September 27 to 4 October.
