While on one hand police was carrying out a search operation to arrest Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh, thousands gathered at Mansa to attend Moosewala’s 1st death anniversary on 19th March 2023. On Sunday, large gathering was seen gathered at the Kisan Mandi in Mansa, Punjab to attend slain singer Sidhu Moosewala’s barsi and pay a tribute to him. While Moosewala’s mother was giving a speech on singer’s death anniversary, crowd standing there allegedly raised slogans on ‘Khalistan Zindabad.’

Reportedly, after shabad kirtan held during Moosewala’s barsi, his mother came on stage and gave a speech about his son and his death. She stated that she wants to know only one thing, whether the country is free or is it a slave. The crowd replied saying that country is a slave. Later, people were heard shouting slogans of ‘Khalistan Zindabad.’

Apart from this, Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh stated that it’s sad to see government not taking any action against gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. He added that Lawrence Bishnoi is openly saying that he knew about Moosewala’s murder and is likely to kill Salman Khan but still no action has been taken against him.

There was a lot of affect witnessed during Moosewala’s barsi due to search operation going on against Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh. While Balkaur Singh stated that lakhs of people will come, it was only 10,000 people who could gather to pay tribute to Sidhu Moosewala. The police had set up barricades and check posts on the routes leading to the venue. Cars and other vehicles of people coming for death anniversary were also being checked. Balkaur Singh stated that government has tried to reduce the crowd of the anniversary due to the Amritpal case, that is why the internet was also closed.
