A peculiar incident unfolded today in the village of Bawa Khel, located near Jalandhar. It stemmed from the frustration surrounding the lack of justice for Punjab's renowned singer, Sidhu Moosewala, who, in a fit of anger, resorted to an unusual act of throwing his Thar vehicle into a nearby canal. This incident took an unexpected turn when children who happened to be bathing in the canal found themselves in close proximity to the plunging vehicle as it splashed into the water. Reacting swiftly to the approaching Thar, the children hurriedly moved away to ensure their safety.
Subsequently, the young adults present at the canal, where steps had been constructed, took it upon themselves to direct the vehicle towards the city, moving it out of the canal. In the wake of this incident, a gathering of onlookers formed at the site, generating a fair amount of commotion. Promptly, bystanders alerted the police to the situation, prompting their immediate arrival at the scene. Recognizing the need for specialized equipment, the police called for a crane to assess and address the circumstances. With the assistance of the crane, the Thar vehicle was successfully retrieved from the canal. Once recovered, the police assumed custody of the Thar vehicle.
The police have initiated an investigation into this atypical act of discarding the Thar vehicle into the canal, apparently born out of Sidhu Moosewala's frustration over his quest for justice remaining unfulfilled. In light of this, the police have also summoned the youths responsible for driving the Thar vehicle and the occupants thereof to the Bawa Khel police station for further inquiry.
The involved youths, in their statements, expressed their unwavering support for Sidhu Moosewala, asserting their commitment to seeking justice on his behalf. Sidhu Moosewala, known for his acclaim as a singer and songwriter, has recently encountered legal challenges. The investigation into the murder of Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, remains ongoing. As per the Punjab government's account, a total of 29 individuals have been apprehended in connection with this case, two suspects met their demise in a confrontation, and efforts are underway to extradite five others from abroad. The state government maintains communication with the central government and various agencies regarding this matter.
