A child of St. Soldier Public School, located near Nijatam Nagar, Jalandhar in Punjab, has gon missing under suspicious circumstances. There was a lot of uproar in Jalandhar late at night due to this incident. When the child was not found on Wednesday, the victim’s family created a ruckus outside the school in the afternoon. They reportedly chanted slogans against the school.
The victim's family has accused the school of negligence. Police of Police Station Division No. 5 have started investigating the case.
Was sent home to collect school fees, went missing on the way:
In the complaint given to the police, Vinod, a resident of Tej Mohan Nagar, said that his 15-year-old son Yuvraj studies in class 9 at St. Soldier Public School. On Tuesday, like every day, the child went to school at 9 am. The child was sent back home by the school administration to collect his pending fees.
Following this, the child neither returned to school nor did he come home. There has been no trace of the child since then. The distraught family has accused the school of negligence saying that if the fees had not been deposited then the staff should have called the family to the school. But this was not done by the school and the child was sent to collect fees.
A fellow classmate told the whole story to the family:
Vinod informs that when the child did not return home on Tuesday evening, he came to know about the whole matter. The child studying with his son told that he was sent back home by the school teacher to collect the fees. After the incident the family reached the police station late at night and lodged a complaint.
When no sign of the child was found till Wednesday morning, the family reached school. Where it was found out that the school had declared holiday on Wednesday. After which there was a huge uproar by the child's family outside the school.
