An Army soldier was martyred in Pakistani firing along the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
The deceased soldier was identified as Sepoy Laxman, a resident of Jodhpur in Rajasthan. Sepoy Laxman was the fourth soldier killed this year in ceasefire violations by the Pakistan army along the LoC.
"The Pakistan Army resorted to an unprovoked ceasefire violation on the LoC in Sundarbani sector of Rajouri,” said a spokesperson.
“Our troops responded strongly to the enemy fire," the spokesperson added.
Sepoy Laxman was critically wounded in the firing and was later declared dead.
